Leadership Summit 2015
The leadership summit at the Great Wolf Lodge has been a life changing experience this year. Unlike last year, we talked more about how our personal features as a leader impact others. Again, we had the most amazing leadership speaker come and talk to us. Ted Wiese is very active with all ages and makes the learning process fun and memorable. As this group returns, our mission leaving this summit is to make a difference without a project, but instead share stories to make a difference. Helping others does not mean you have to write checks and give money to the homeless. Learn these peoples' names and their stories and to talk to others who can help. I am very happy I attended this National Beta Club leadership summit because the focus was different view than last year. It touched my heart and changed the way I want our Beta Club chapter to make a difference in our community. On this subject, I would like to touch on charity shirts that the charity committee spoke about at the last monthly meeting. We have three charities we are helping this year. All the money made from selling shirts and collecting sponsors are distributed to these three charities. We are hoping each member will sell AT LEAST two t-shirts. If this happens, just selling two short-sleeved shirts is $30 alone. If all 212 members sell $30 worth of shirts that is a grand total of $6,360. If you have lost your order form or never got one there is a drop down/page on the blogspot for this charity t-shirt campaign. It has the form for t-shirts, information about all three charities, and a form for any business sponsors you know. Let's make this the biggest charity event!
