Beta Info 21-22

Betas! First off I would like to congratulate all of our new officers who ran unopposed: Natalie Smith is our VP, Jackie Rivera is our Treasurer, Tina Pham is our Secretary, Erica Nestore is our historian; congratulations to all of you! We also need co-chairs for Charity, Publicity, Events and Entertainment, and Membership. This year is going by a lot faster than I wish it would. As a senior, Beta Club has been a huge part of my last year at RHHS. This year we are able to go to NEW ORLEANS to compete nationally at The National Beta Club Convention! I would like a lot of people to go to represent Rock Hill, South Carolina. The more people who go, the less it will cost. National convention registration begins after spring break. State Convention is a lot of fun and I hope this past trip in February encouraged more people to go next year. Mrs. Tucker will be explaining the new Beta Club RTI schedule. As of right now, April 21 and May 12 are the only two dates set up for the new RTI schedule as of right now. Because we are meeting during school hours we will have more people attending the meeting and have to go to another location for meetings. There is no set location right now so look on the calendar and stay alert on the Beta Club text messages for the new location. I know this will definitely benefit our club because athletes and students with jobs will be able to attend the meeting because it is during school hours. Make sure to look at the Calendar for service hours. There are definitely enough hours for people to sign up for that need to complete their 10 or 15 hours to continue their membership next year. Our first car wash is March 26. Members can earn service hours for every three cars they send our way. Finally, I would like to talk about the MDA campaign. We have only had 20 people pick up shamrocks, and so far, only one person has returned them. Each bundle sold equals 0.5hrs (no limit). Deadline is 2pm Mar 31. Make sure to pick up/sell your shamrocks! You may earn a pizza party....!
