Beta's its on!- Time to make the magic happen. if you want 2018 to be your year: don't sit on the couch and wait for it. Go out. Make a change. Smile more. Be caring. Do new things. Throw away negativity. Unfollow negative people on social media. Go to bed early. Don't gossip. Show more gratitude. Do things that challenge you. Be brave! And Beta's it's not about perfection. It's about effort. When you bring that effort every single day. That's where the transformation happens. That's how positive changes occur. The chances to serve the community and others are endless Beta's!
New Year, more new club opportunities including charity, fundraisers and service events are/ will be added to the calendar frequently. So make sure to stay updated Beta's, every day is a new opportunity to serve. Freshmen orientation night is on January 25th from 6-8:30 at RHHS. Super excited to day that convection is just around the corner for those attending state in February 8-11. This is an amazing way to get to know Beta's from around the state and expands one's Beta network. Convection are a unique experience for every beta. Over the time period of two years attending state convection I've grown with beta and developed a trans-formative experience. I was able to learn a little more about myself as a leader, individual and community member each convection attended. It's safe to say that Beta convection offer something different for everyone. No convection is ever the same magnificent experience. Each year there's a different theme for the convection that includes activities and competitions. Events from artistic and talents to the politic and academics. There is so much to do at convection, and I personally wish every member of the Rock Hill Beta Club chapter gets to witness what convection's really like. Wishing the best to those attending this year; let's continue to grow and learn more for next year's trip. Those attending the SC Convection/National Convection- the upcoming convection payment is due Friday, FEB 2 2018 no later than 2pm with Mrs.Tucker. If you haven't done so, on the way make sure to pick up your permission form for parent information, member and parent signatures and teachers approval and turn in package ASAP. Thank you to all the beta's who helped by donating gently used books. We have raised a total of 201 books for the year. Way to go beta's!
As always my betas, don't forget to check the calendar for upcoming service opportunities and meet the requirements to maintain the status of a RHHS Beta. All members need to complete an event, charity, and fundraiser, as well as maintain a 3.75 GPA before the end of the school year.
